How to Cancel Your Subscription
We’re sorry to hear that you’re considering canceling your subscription! If you need help, follow the steps below:
Steps to Cancel Your Subscription:
1. Log in to your account
- Click here to log in. You will receive a unique password code via SMS or email to access your account.
2. Navigate to your active subscriptions
- Once logged in, locate your Active Subscriptions section.
3. Find the "cancel subscription" option
- Scroll down until you see the "Cancel Subscription" button. This is located below the Upcoming Orders section and above the Discounts section.
4. Complete the Cancellation Flow
- Click "Cancel Subscription" and follow the prompts.
- Note: We’ll ask for the primary reason you’re canceling. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us improve!
5. For Multiple Subscriptions
- If you have more than one active subscription, you’ll need to cancel each one individually.
Important Information to Keep in Mind
- Charge Date Notifications - We send an email reminder 3 days before your next charge date to give you time to make changes.
- Changes Before Charge Date - All subscription requests (e.g., flavor changes, address updates, cancellations) must be made before your charge date. Once a charge has been processed, we are unable to make changes to that shipment.

Next, locate your Active Subscriptions and click on the subscription you wish to edit.
From there you can swap flavors (Citrus Ginger, Cacao, Lemon Raspberry), add Targeted Support Bites (Calm, Sleep, and Energy), manage your delivery frequency, and more.

How to update your shipping address:
Step 1 - Log in to your account HERE and locate your active subscription.
Step 2 - Scroll down to the 'Shipping information' section and click "Edit Address" - update your information and click "Save Changes"
If you have more than one subscription shipping to the same address, please check that you are updating both addresses.
If you have more than one subscription shipping to different addresses, please check that you are updating the correct subscription.
If you’re a new subscriber, you can add a discount code at checkout. You’ll see the 'Discount code or gift card' field right underneath your cart items. Simply enter your code and click “Apply”!
If you’re already a GEM subscriber, head to your portal to add a discount code for an upcoming order. Simply log in here and scroll down until you see the ‘Discount Code’ section. Enter your code and click “Add coupon code”!
We understand that life happens! Whether you’re traveling or have too much product on hand, you can easily skip future orders or adjust your delivery frequency. Follow the steps below:

- At the top of your account portal, you’ll see the following options:
- "Skip Next Order": Use this to skip your upcoming shipment.
- "Set Delivery Date": Adjust the specific date for your next delivery.
- "Edit Frequency": Change how often you receive your orders.
4. Make Your Adjustments
- Select the option that best suits your needs and follow the prompts to confirm your changes.

Steps to Swap a Product in Your Subscription
1. Log in to Your Account
- Click here to log in and locate your Active Subscriptions section.
2. Expand Your Account Portal
- Scroll down to the Products section.
- If needed, click "Show Details" to expand the view.
3. Swap an Individual Product
- Find the product you’d like to swap and click the "Swap Product" button on the right-hand side.
- Choose the item you’d like to swap with and select the Variant (quantity) and Delivery Option (frequency).
Steps to Add a Product to Your Subscription
- Locate the "Add Product to All Deliveries" button.
- Follow the same steps as above to select the product, variant, and delivery frequency.

Packaging updates
We heard your feedback. Sending GEM previously resulted in clumping, melting, and drying out quicker. By individually wrapping our Bites we're able to deliver a mess-free, travel-ready experience that keeps every Bite fresher, better preserved, and easier to enjoy.
Sustainability is at the core of what we do and we're aware this can cause more waste. The good news: by consolidating from four exterior packs to just one in the monthly subscription, we’ve been able to significantly reduce materials used overall. We’re also prioritizing investments in recyclable packaging to ensure future packs are as environmentally friendly as they can be while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
As a small business, we’re doing our best to balance product quality, environmental impact, and customer satisfaction. If you would prefer to continue subscribing without individually wrapped Bites we'd be happy to flag your subscription and transition you back! Currently we have Lemon Raspberry (the Daily Bite) in its original 7-Bite unwrapped Bites with more to follow quickly.
Based on customer feedback we've updated our Bites to be individually wrapped. By individually wrapping each Bite, we’re able to deliver a mess-free, travel-ready experience that keeps every Bite fresher, better preserved, and easier to enjoy. However, as a sustainability-minded organization we still wanted to find the best way to reduce our imprint with this change and so we have also consolidated from four exterior packs to just one in the monthly subscription, with this change we’ll be able to significantly reduce materials used overall. We are in the midst of our transition and are using up our supply of 7-day packages. Eventually all monthly subscriptions will be on a 28-day package.

About GEM
At GEM, we follow a food-first philosophy because real food leads to better nutrition. Our bodies are designed to thrive on a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes—not synthetic, isolated ingredients. Eating real food boosts nutrient bioavailability (how well your body absorbs and uses nutrients) and provides a natural balance of essential nutrients that work together to keep you healthy.
With GEM, you get your daily nutrients straight from real food—no artificial fillers, binders, or unnecessary extras. We carefully crafted our bites to fit a variety of diets, leaving out soy, gluten, dairy, and animal products.
While reductionism has its place, we believe in a whole-body approach to nutrition. The human body is a complex system, and real food nourishes it best by delivering everything you need in harmony. GEM connects the dots, bringing you nutrition in its purest, most complete form.
GEM was created to fill in the gaps in our diets and offer ingredients that aren't typically found in our diet, like ashwagandha to help relieve stress, astaxanthin to offer powerful antioxidants, beta-glucan to prime our immune system, or pre + probiotics to support our gut health.
Additionally, we don't believe in mega-dosing. Many of us are used to seeing values of vitamins in the 200% and 300% range (and sometimes even higher). But megadoses can do more harm than good. Fat-soluble vitamins will be stored in our adipose tissue (fat cells), which can lead to toxic levels over time. As for water-soluble vitamins, our bodies physically can't absorb an overdose and we pee most of them out.
The nutrient amounts in GEM were carefully crafted to fill in the gaps and work synergistically with the foods and nutrients already in your diet. Turns out our bodies prefer food, not capsules, meaning we absorb nutrients from food best. GEM’s real-food bites metabolize more naturally and effectively, leading to optimized absorption.
No refrigeration necessary! Some like to keep it on their nightstand, some like GEM in their kitchen cabinets, but overall, we recommend that GEM is stored in a cool, dry place!
The recommended dose of GEM is one bite per day. However, if your diet needs extra support, you’re craving another, or you need an extra boost, it’s perfectly fine to have a second bite! That said, we don’t recommend eating more than three bites per day.
You can pair your Daily Bite with one or all of our Targeted Support Bites (Energy, Calm, and Sleep) throughout the day as needed.
GEM is completely shelf stable, so you don’t need to refrigerate your Bites!
Our Bites are best enjoyed within 12 months of production for our Daily Bite, Calm and Energy Bites, and within 9 months of production for our Sleep Bites — you’ll find a best-by date printed on your packs!
You don’t have to take GEM with food because it is food, but we suggest pairing with a full glass of water or your preferred beverage.
GEM is a real-food Bite. Eat it like any other food, chew and enjoy!

GEM is completely non-GMO, and we prioritize sourcing organic ingredients whenever possible. The vast majority of our ingredients are organic and are marked with an asterisk on our nutrition label! Read more here.
GEM is completely free of soy, gluten, and animal products.
Our bites do not contain nuts but some of our flavors contain coconut which is a tree nut and they are processed on shared equipment with nuts. The equipment is sanitized in between use to eliminate cross-contamination but if you are severely allergic to an allergen listed above, please consume GEM at your own discretion. We have Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for all our raw ingredients, providing detailed testing results that show exactly what’s in them. Each supplier is carefully vetted to ensure you’re receiving a product of the highest quality.
We use Vitamin D2 from mushrooms.
Most Vitamin D on the shelf comes from lanolin aka sheep's wool.

As long as you’re eating a well rounded diet of fruits & veggies, chances are you’re getting enough vitamin C already. 75 mg of vitamin C is recommended per day for adults by the National Institute of Health, so if you’re eating one medium orange (75mg), ½ raw bell pepper (95mg), or 1 cup of raw broccoli (78mg) then you’re getting enough vitamin C to cover your bases!
What we have instead: Vitamin C works best when paired with polyphenols or naturally-occurring phytochemicals found in fruits & vegetables. Instead, we recommend getting your daily vitamin C intake by a food-first approach and use the fruits & sea vegetables in GEM to help assist its absorption.
Most women don’t need additional calcium supplementation, but actually need Vitamin K2 to help absorb the calcium you get from your diet, which is why we ensured K2 was in GEM (lacking K2 in your diet can lead to inadequate calcium absorption). K2 is vital for bone health—it helps proteins in our bones latch onto calcium. Learn more about our nutrients here.
Refund/return policy
We’re here to help you find your perfect Bite!
Due to the sensitive nature of our products, we aren’t able to accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. However, we want to ensure you love your GEM experience! If you’d like to explore other flavors or Bites, our Customer Service team would be happy to set your account up with a different flavor that might be a better fit for you.
For subscription adjustments—such as changing flavors, updating your address, or canceling—we kindly ask that you make your request before your next charge date. Once a charge has been processed, we are unable to modify or cancel that shipment.

Shipping
Shipping is $3.95 flat fee, until the free shipping threshold is reached for subscriptions ($35).
We do our best to have all packages shipped out of our fulfillment center within 1-2 business days of your payment confirmation.
Shipping time starts AFTER the package has shipped, which can be up to 2 business days from the purchase as we do not ship on weekends. Shipping time falls anywhere between 7-10 business days.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your product to reach you may vary.
GEM has limited information or abilities beyond the tracking number, but if there are any issues receiving your package, please reach out and we'll help get to the bottom of it!
GEM doesn’t ship over the weekend, so your order will ship the following business day.

We accept payments by all credit cards, Paypal, Shop Pay, and Google Pay.
You’ll be billed according to the delivery frequency defined at checkout. If you’ve adjusted your delivery frequency within your account portal, your billing will follow the schedule you selected.

- In the email, click the "Edit payment details" link. This will open a new page where you can:
- Update your credit card information.

Who can/should eat GEM?
We recommend consulting a medical professional if you have a specific health concern, like pregnancy or are currently breastfeeding. We list all of our ingredients on our website and packaging for easy reference.
GEM was created to fill in the gaps of what we may be missing from our day-to-day diet and help diversify our nutrition through plants we don't typically get in a normal day (ashwagandha, green and red algae, and more!). GEM supports your everyday health (on top of a balanced diet) because these nutritional dense plants pack quite the punch.
Additionally, our soils are unfortunately not as nutritionally dense as they were a few decades ago. For example, you'd have to eat 7-8 oranges to get the same amount of Vitamin C from 1 orange 50 so years ago. GEM swoops in to fill in those gaps to combat our foods that are not as nutritionally dense as they used to be!
GEM is formulated for adults, making it nutritionally dense; however, as long as your child isn’t allergic to one of our ingredients, a small nibble won’t hurt!
Yes! GEM is designed to provide a fantastic nutritional boost for everyone, regardless of gender. It’s not a prenatal or gender-specific product, so there’s no need for concern.
The modern health challenges men and women face—such as brain fog, stress, fatigue, and skin or hair issues—often stem from similar nutritional deficiencies, including B-complex vitamins, vitamin D, and more. GEM helps address these common gaps, making it a great choice for men too!
